What We Will Do With NPower Volunteers Batch A Before The End Of 2020 - Minister
We plan to exit N-Power beneficiaries before end of the year says minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development. We want to believe that most of the N-Power volunteers that are wise might have saved from this stipends been paid every month and also learn some skills. So I don't think we should have this panic that this people they don't know their fate or their future. From the onset they know that it is a programme that is not going to be their for ever.
For us as a Ministry, we are looking at all options for planned exit. We are not just going to exit them and leave them to their fate, we have option and we are exploring this options with critical stakeholder to see how we can have a futuristic exit for this people so that they can have something to fallback to and continue with their life. And we hope that before the end of this year, we should come up with a concrete plan for them.
FOR BATCH A VOLUNTEERS
We would like to categorically inform you to disregard the news going round that the Social investment Programme has ended the scheme for batch A volunteers. This is untrue as you all are still in the scheme. We are working at an exit plan that will be beneficial to all and as the honorable minister has put it, before the end of the year, the plan will be unfolded. You will still be receiving your monthly stipends as we expect payment to be made this week.
